How do I dress kindof scene, like clothes from Hottopic without being called "emo" or "scene"?

i just like the clothes... i dont wanna be emo or scene, i just want to know how to dress like that without being labeled that.

2. just wear one thing from hottopic then dress it down with something from like forever 21.just mix your clothing up and you wont look emo.

4. Oh that's easy. Just take some stright legged jeans. Any color except black. Add some converse of any color or some kinda of flats. Put anytype of vintage tee or graphic tee. =]

7. Generally, people only label themselves. If someone hears you call yourself scene they will call you scene. I love my band tee shirts but i mix it up with skinny jeans, wide legs, vests, funky jewelry, light make-up, different stuff you know. I love my converse but i keep them in different colors. Basically, I throw in some bright fun pieces to even out the darkness.

9. You can't dress emo without being called emo, unless you're with your emo friends...you emo. Hot Topic is so gay now.
10. I think like a pink sweater and a black polo with some skinny jeans would look Fab-u-lous!! And always wear cute little flats with skulls on them. Band shirts with lace camis underneath and denim skirts. Omg girl the possibilities are endless! Oh ya and a bow would look super cuh-yoot in your hair! <3, Ryan

14. ok well I wear neon skinny jeans, graphic/ band tees, vans, neon nikes, bandanas, and a ton of jewelry. I don't really call myself scene or emo, but I do get labeled these things a lot. I just wear the clothes that I like, and if I get labelled than so what. I think that if you wanna dress scene or whatever then do it. If someone calls you scene (which does happen to me) then screw them, its your life.

The absolute best site I've come across is lividthorn.com, they're clothes are really scene/emo but they're also nu ravey and like, i don't know, just trendy/fashionable, I've bought from them quite a few times now and the service is amazing. Got my stuff every time in like 2 or 3 days and with a badge and stuff. It's all pretty colorful and quirky. Defo check it out if you can. Failing that, a site like loserkids is good for like band tees and stuff. Or stick with hot topic maybe.
