Hairstyle?

I am about 5'8 with brown hair with caramel and blond highlights it is currently just slightly past my shoulders. I do not have a fringe and my parting is down the middle. I have been told it would look good layered with a side fringe. Yes or no? Any more hairstyle suggestions?
