What would a person with a rocker/emo style wear for shoes in the winter?

I usually wear vans or converse in the summer, fall, and spring, but what could I wear during the winter? I want something stylish but warm and waterproof. I don't like Uggs.

2. If this person were not a rocker/emo poser, they would wear whatever the heck they want. The REAL emos I know wear Vans, etc. And me, being an indie rocker, just wear whatever matches.
3. converse... why not? did ya know converse made boots? they do... just really umcomfortable ones... uggs... are soft :D
4. I, too, think Uggs are...ugly. Well, someone with an edgy rocker style might go for knee-length black boots...I imagine lace-ups with a platform heel, but platforms may make it hard to walk over ice.

6. Slouchy leather boots, either mid-calf or ankle. Thy're warm and waterproof :D
