How do I grow my hair to get it to have the "emo" style?

I want it to be like covering one eye, but i dont know how long to grow it. i dont know how to style it, i just need some tips. what do i do with the front to get it to cover one eye, what do i do to the sides, and the back? hellppp

2. You have to part it at the side and have long bangs for it to cover your eye. If you don't have naturally straight hair you'll have to use a flat iron. There's many different kinds of "emo" styles, just pick one that would be easy to style and works for you.
3. ok id grow it out just enough to cover your eyes... kinda make a little part with it.. and umm just keep it longish.. and btw.. emo guys are hot!!
4. I think you should grow it out about 5 inches and part it to the side. The back you should spike it up. You should get a really choppy cut.

Well you should grow it past your eyes, while your growing it train your hair to do the flip thing - brush into flip every day- dont grow it to long or you'll look obssessed... just keep the sides staight & cut the back-middle short and spike that part, or you could just keep it all straight. BTW i think that look is very HOTT!!!
