My hair is sooo curly, and like really thick, I would love to have a emo-style haircut, help please??

I would love to have a emo-style haircut, but my hair is so curly, and the haircuts are so straight... :P My mum won't let me iron it, anyone have any tips for me?? I would be forever thankful!

1. japanese hairstraightening it's expensive as hell but it makes your hair SO straight.. you can get your hair cut anyway you want
2. k then your out of luck pretty much. if she doesnt like iron she might not like this either but its worth a shot use straightening cream and an blowdryer with a round brush also try using straightening shampoo and conditioner get a shorter one, easier care and less straightening involved, and for the person who said japenese straightening. . . thats a couple steps up from ion wouldnt you say?
3. I'd say get a straight perm..you can do it yourself or have it done professionally.

I have super curly hair and i wanted an emo haircut as well and what i did was first I chemically relaxed my hair and my hairstylist thinned out my hair from the inside so it looks thinner + you can't tell. I went to Vidal Sasson and i swear my hair's never looked better. Now to maintain the straight look at home I use Biolage hydrating shampoo +conditioner. I towel dry my hair put a little biolage leave in conditioner and Phytodefrisant hair relaxing balm(this product is a miracle worker!!) And after that I blowout my hair In very small sections (with a large metal round brush)so you get the best result. Also try wearing a beanie as you get ready to flatten it as much as possible and then when your ready to go take it off and just blowout your bangs and spritz your hair with a shinespray such as proclaim (you could find this at Sally's beauty supply) and your ready to go!!
