What percentage of your income should you spend on clothing/makeup/accessories?

I need to figure out a budget, because otherwise it can get out of hand. I am a professional who needs to develop a budget.

1. just add clothing, etc. into your budget. every pay put in about 25 bucks. when you NEED to buy something, take that money out of that category.
2. No more than 3%.
3. it depends on your job. if your job doesn't require much glamour spend as little as possible (<5%). if you think you are up to a promotion, dress like your boss dresses. if you are trying to catch a mate fashion should not be a big player in a serious relationship.
