scene/punk clothes for kids? my brother is really into the scene/punk fashion trend,he is 13,but when I go to like hot topic online there is nothing in his size, cause he is really skinny,so are their sites where I can get him his look for being a kid?
need some scene fashion for school :)? im a scene kid but im running out of clothes i can wear for school to put together. i need some help of what you would suggest i could wear :) im in sixth form so i can wear whatever i want :) thankyou :)
Nowadays do you just need to wear the fashion to be what is considered a "rocker" (scene kid) now? LONG!? I'm not a Scene kid and I don't listen to the music either, but this is a question I've always wanted to ask and was wondering and wanted all your view on it. I only use Scene kid because almost every person where I live, and go to my school is one, at least they proudly claim to be so I will use that term. Basically in short, at my school in both of my music classes I'm the only one that dresses normal, either looking professional, or hip hop, or gangsterish (what some people would describe it as), but rarely once in a while I would wear a very underground band shirt and they all would come to me and say "wtf is that!?" and would say I'm a poser because I don't wear any "cool, scene clothes or popular bands), but I don't listen to the radio, I only look for the underground, although I like a few mainstream songs. And because I am the only Asian there, they will make fun of me for playing guitar there, saying I'm nerdy etc, but I don't fit the stereotypical description, but I never argue back. Underground Metal is my favorite, and plan to play for it in the future, I've had a lot of training from my cousins (since most of them have played in an underground Metal band before in other countries). No offense, but I just can't seem to manage musically with them, they've never heard any of the bands I listen to, basically almost no one, only a rare few or from other countries, and my personality doesn't mix with them. I'm the serious, silent, powerful type, but when they act stupid-like or speak like it I can't seem to mix. But I don't make fun of them though or say anything bad. But it's humiliating, everyday in class I'm the only one serious to practice enough because I really love music, and it's a passion, and while everyone else is fooling around or acting stupid they will make fun of me saying I'm not a real rocker because I'm Asian or whatever, or not a rocker because I don't wear the clothes. The money that I earn, or get, is saved towards getting musical equipment instead of clothes. I plan to have a lot of effects for musical variation in the future. I practice at least usually 10 hours a day, if I can more at home. It's also hard to find people in my area or school who are as serious as I am, who would also want to play the same music as I do, they're for screamo, and I'm for underground Metal. I don't care about being famous, I just want to make music for people to enjoy, and something for me to look back to and enjoy my own music. There's a talent show coming up in 3 months, and I'm practicing like crazy, I wanted to be on some of their teams, but they reject me, so I'll be doing a solo alone, as well as play a song I like. But if I were to round this up, they mostly make fun of me because they say I'm too serious about practicing and making music, instead of being cool, and for not wearing "scene clothing." So am I considered a musician at heart? Or do you think the outside matters? I can't seem to fit in with the other "scene rockers" at school. Only a few mature Metalheads (which there aren't many here).
fashion advice !! scene fashion !? i LOVE the scene kid style but am finding it kinda hard to get the right clothes and look the part without looking like an idiot or a poser :P i dont live in an area where there are shops like blue banana or hot topic, (i live in the UK) and i hate shopping online. (i cant try anything on....) lol i live near cambridge so shops there would be a massive hit :] (or stevenage) i dont have a mountain of money to spend, so i cant buy clothes from huge brands like iron fist or DropDead (even though they are amazing) so some tips on how to look scene without the price tag would be much appreicated :) && please dont patronise me saying that i shouldnt change the way i look. im not, i just need some new ideas to update my wardrobe. im 16 not 6 years old. thanks :)
Indie/Scene fashion tips? I lost a bet with a friend and subsequently have dress like a scene kid for a week. so: where's the best place to shop? also what clothing types/colors are best?
why do scene kids always use the term "Haters make us famous?"? what does it make them feel better or something? lol i can say i used to be scene apon a time because i loved the fashion i still dress in skinny jeans and have long hair ect... but i could NEVER call myself "scene" its only a pointless trend that trys so hard to be original but the thing about it is every one of them are the same in every way! xD they all listen to the same music like... fagots on the dance floor and bring me the horizon they all love hello kitty!! lol they all have the same clothes and every single one of them say HATERS MAKE US FAMOUS! lol yeah haters made Hitler famous to! anyways this is just a little rant about fagot scene kids :)
Why do the kids at school have to be so mean about my goth fashion.? everyone at Noble Middle School has there own clique, there are the emo, skaters, nerds, hippies, and the scene kids. but i have never seen a goth kid. i started dressing in all black the begining of 8th grade yeaadmitted never addmited to being goth, i was just simply expressing my self in a dark way to express my inner emotions. i choose this style since i couldn't fit in anywhere. im in band and the band nerds dont like me! so im extremely gothed-fashioned outcast with no friends...people are soo mean to me. they call me goth and emo even though i deny it. they ask me stupid questions like do you cut your self and why do you wear those clothes. IT IS SOO ANNOYING. just because i wear black lipstick and chains doesnt mean that im some stupid steriotype. they pick on me for not believing in god, and for having no friends, for wearing all black, and being wierd. but im the neciest person in the world! im always nice, even to the people who dont deserve it. i NEVER did anything to them and everyday they torture me. so my question is Why do kids like to pick on other kids who choose alternative styles. why do they think we're freaks. why cant they just be nice?
Why do people hate "emos", scene kids, etc. ...? I am entirely neutral in this debate. I have never met any scene kids or emos, other than this one guy I know who claims to be metal and yet has never listened to Iron Maiden (not emo, but I gather that that kind of hypocrisy is part of what people hate about emos..?) Anyway, I'd like past experiences, reasoned arguments etc etc. And please, no bashing on the fashion, I'm not interested. Everyone has their own tastes in clothing. Just pointing and laughing is too easy, I want to hear some good reasons why they're so hated. I imagine it's like with George W. Bush: there are plenty of good reasons to hate him, but 90% of the population couldn't tell you what they are because they just bash him to look cool. I'm not talking about "normals" who hate them because they look different, those people are twits. I mean more intelligent people who have deeper reasons. Also I'm going on the assumption that there is a good reason for all this hate. I want to know what THAT reason is, not all of the stupid reasons that 90% of everyone use.
what are good cheap online stores to shop at for scene kids? i want some back to school clothes but i dont have much money around 150 dollars to shop but i want to be in fashion and have a desent amount of clothes for what i pay im alittle over weight not by much though but i dont want to shop at places that are like size double zero because im a 7 heres a picture of me if you think anything is cute and would suit me send me a link <a href="http://s178.photobucket.com/albums/w250/preppybeeotch96/?action=view¤t=untitled.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w250/preppybeeotch96/untitled.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> if it doesn't show up here is a link http://s178.photobucket.com/albums/w250/preppybeeotch96/?action=view¤t=untitled.jpg

Scene kids have been irratating me, and what happened to punk? Yes, I'm ranting, all of this is not entirely true for everyone, but It just pisses me off how they spend 100$ a week on new clothes, how obnoxious they are! How they become vegetarian or vegan because they think it's 'trendy' Some think global warmings bad, yet they use a bottle of hairspray a week, then listen to punk music, but they spend all their money buying clothing that looks punk at hot topic for 80$, like 60$ on a pair of pants because they have chains on them. Arhhhhgh fashion punks also make me angry. I hate how everybody thinks that punk has become all about fashion, if you don't look the part, having chains, a mohawk, or some plaid 70$ bondage pants, you're not 'punk' or they look down on you. It's stupid. What happened to shopping at thrift stores paying 1$ for three pairs of pants, then taking them home to fix them up, or the anti-consumerism, why give all your money to the huge mean corporations that brainswash you? It doesn't make any sense.
Why is "scene kid" so closely related to "emo"? I personally feel as though its more off a personal oppinion, there so many scene kids around here, and when i say sscene kids i mean bright colours etc, i see emo as a complete different thing, iam not going to lie, i am an emo, yeh, ivebeen going thru hard times, i dont sit and cry and write poetry, i just dont like wearing bright clothes i have long hair and i like the fashion off emos, and i like body modifcation and symmetry. Its just everyone sees emo to be scene kids and fakes its just annoying,.
Fashion Police! Can you help my obsessed friend? SKINNY JEANS!!!? Help! Ok, I know the fashion police exist haha but I seriously need their help! My best friend Molly (I changed her name) is OBSESSED with skinny jeans! She has worn the type of pants every single day for a year and a half! She has denim ones, and neon ones, and patterned ones; basically every pair of skinny jeans Hot Topic and Kohls has ever had! IT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! I like her and all but I have seen WAY too many skinny jeans! Her other problem with it is that, well to put it lightly, she is very overweight. She is more than 185 lbs at 13 and it is all on her waist and thighs. She thinks skinny jeans make you look skinny, but they don't! I weigh 110 and she thinks she's smaller than me in skinnies! Another problem with this style is she buys all of her clothes WAY TOO BIG. It makes her feel skinnier so f she wore a 13, she'd buy a 17. I HATE THIS TREND!!! I do understand its the style with "scene" kids, but she's more wannabe scene. And besides. Don't scene kids ever wear something normal? Please help me help her. She can still wear them, but please help me find other bottoms for her to wear too. PS idk why but she's obsessed with Gir from Invader Zim. Just felt like saying that. THANK YOU!!! Sick of Skinnies
Inexpensive plus sized clothes similar to those sold in Hot Topic (repost)? --Re-post for lack of answers-- xx Don't suggest Torrid, I've been there and they're pretty expensive and not really my style xx Well, I'm fat. I'm tall, 5'9, and I'm tired of wearing clothes that make me look like a f*cking dork. Unfortunately, I only have $100 atm to make a few small changes to my wardrobe, so you can see where Hot Topic isn't a good store choice for me (unless I go to clearance, where there are very little plus-sized clothing). Anyway, these are my styles in a nutshell: http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Health/images-2/Emo-Kids.jpg http://www.scene-hair.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/scene-kids-hair-330x440.jpg http://storage.imageloop.com/content/fd2f890c-dc6d-1baa-b26e-0015c5fcf618/rw506h380 And sometimes http://www.sheimagazine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/Goth-kids.jpg and http://image.guardian.co.uk/sys-images/Education/Pix/pictures/2008/06/16/punks460.jpg So I guess it's along the lines of vintage/grudge/glam(rock) and a little goth and punk on the side. I don't consider myself a part of these groups (that'd be like a Mexican standing on the Texan/Mexican border--I'd probably get shot), but their fashion signatures DO perk my interest. Anyway, so here's the store criteria: -Preferably online -Sizes16/18 (wide sizes optional) -Fits at least one or more of my style preferences (the links above) -inexpensive (I ain't payin' more than $10-$12 for a T-shirt!) -Accepts AmEx and Visa (but if you don't know, I'll just find that out for myself--don't worry.) Snarky comments about my weight or style preferences are neither appreciated nor a good use of energy--yours or mine. Please keep those to yourself or unleash it on some other person. Thank you very, very much.

Should I be scene or not? in my situation? Ok so ive got a problem My style *sigh again* Its my huge debate and maby you guys can help me I LOVE scene/emo I love the boys I love the bold style I love the hair! omg yes I just love it my heart lol I guess sorta Burns for it (sounds dramatic) XD Its a yearning to be as amazing as all those scene queens the hair, the clothes Are a little over the top as you might say And so am I lol But I feel as if, when I wear skinny jeans fluffed up scene hair ,thick eye liner People treat me differently like Im a freak or a bad person And I probably look like one but...It just feels so right! Honestly the fact I go to a All Cristian/conservative school doesn't help at all The people there are well...o,o ANAL they don't cuss, date Or have any other fashion group other than conservative Its a private school And there School dress codes are WAY over the top it says in print (NO GOTHIC CLOTHING,NO BLACK NAIL POLISH,NO EXTREAME HAIR STYLES) I mean wtf communists much And the way they dress there if you dress like a emo/scene kid Your automatically labeled EVIL O>O satanic demonic EVIL!!!!OUTCAST "shes a tad odd" "my mommy says i shouldn't hang out with her" Ugh its just a struggle The only other person that I can relate to in "Love of emo/scene culture" at my school, is my best friend Courtney who is vary daring in the fashion department and I admire her for it Maby The reason people treat me like im a weirdo when I dress scene/emo is that I just dont pull it off like all the other scene beauty's out there I am *ahem* just a bit more buxom than the other skinny model-esk girls out there so what do you think I shoud do?

Why do so many teenagers have bad fashion? I see them all over the mall now, the new breed of "scene kids" where they wear the stupidest, uncoordinated, and abrasive 80's style clothes. This style is now ubiquitous; the "style" has went from "emo", to "scene" to now damn near universal. Why do stupid fads and trends take hold of peoples' personalities so they feel they need to purchase the most fatuous garbage. Do you feel that there is an inane fear to shop for ones self, essentially a lost feeling caused by not conforming to their contemporaries youthful standards? Why do people allow others with no taste to dictate their whims? Will teenagers ever evolve past this peer pressure do you think? Same goes with white kids and rap being the most popular music, my god, the awfulness. Edit- I think I almost have more respect for preps now. Issa D- Sure it isn't- it's actually very cool to dress in garish colors so that you think you stand out and are interesting. Steph- Unfortunately I work at the mall and I get them in my store sometimes. Mark P- What they want is to be like everyone else, to follow fads.
Do you have problems finding clothes you like? Because I most certainly do! Today, I went shopping. Every single thing I saw was either a boob curtain, sleeveless, or it was perfectly fine with a completely hideous pattern. Fashion has gone to pot these days, everything is bright, tacky, and ugly. You either dress extremely preppy with writing all over your clothes about where you bought the stupid things or you dress like some scene kid! I want an inbetween for this and I'm having some serious problems. Does anyone have any suggestions or just agrees with me at all? Some of you guys don't understand what I mean by boob curtains. They're tight around the breasts and they flow down. A peasant top. They make people look pregnant. Not that pregnant people aren't cute, but I just don't want to look pregnant when I'm NOT. I looked at Top Shop just now, but its a British company, and I liked a few of their choices. But, if I bought something it'd be 3x more expensive than if I bought it here :(
Do You Ever Wish You Were One of the 'New York Club Kids'? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_Monster en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Club_Kids They were sort of fashion addicts and the hit of the scene, they wore incredible outfits and rocked in the '90s; they were the subject of the movie 'Party Monster'...anyone? I wonder where I could get clothes like that...
fashion trends for teens in autumn 2009? im going shopping with my mum soon, well next week, and she told me to figure out what type of things i need.. i haven't PROPERLY changed my wardrobe in a while, as in i have stuff from 2-3 years ago, and it's all going in the bin.. i would like to know what kind of clothes i should invest in, i live in northern ireland, so yeah it's a cold place.. Im a emo/scene kid, so no tracksuit's or the like. thanks for the help. xo
80s metal fashion!? well; after searching for the clothes that I felt truly fit me; I've discovered that the best place for me to shop is the THRIFT store LOL because it has the best for old 80s jeans and shirts; because I'm obsessed with 80s metal and being only 16; it's hard to find good old school stuff in this rap/hiphop age... haha so far I've got the converse, old nike high tops, tight guess jeans, button up plaid shirts [idk if you consider those really 80s though.. haha more 90s I guess? haha], etc... I'm just wondering though.. what did the 80s metalheads where in the summer? haha I see pictures of anthrax with some kinda weird shorts on or something and I'm wondering exactly what kind of shorts people wore back in the day.. any answers will help because I refuse to look like another rap or emo/scene kid... haha thanks!
ok im scene/emo but i really wanna go prep but im scared.? ive been scene/emo for about 3 yrs now and im getting kinda bored. i mean i LOVE hot topic clothes and screamo/hardcaore/metal/alternative music but...seriously...cmon. and i see the preps in school and theyre all so pretty and popular and wear the cute flip flops and cute hollister and abrecombie stuff and i wanna be that :) and i like that girly pop music too but i never tell me friends that :/ but its hard cause i think scne/emo guys are HAWT but i dont think they would like preppy girls. and i wanna move to tokyo when im older but idk they would except me if i dress preppy casue ive seen theyre fashion and its the total OPPOSITE of preppy. i ish scared and confoosed :(( i wanna be preppy so bad but i love being scene/emo too!! helps i wanna fit in with the preppy kids but i wanna keep my scene friends too:(
How can I explain to my parents, who my dad said that they were once "hippies", to the "new emo scene"? How can I explain to my parents, who my dad said that they were once "hippies", to the "new emo scene"? OK...so, to start, my parents have noticed this new emo scene, but, they have no idea about it, but all the time, I knew that they noticed it too. I think that they've started noticing it since the day that my dad had been hospitalized and then, a friend of his from work visited him (my dad's early retired), and that she had said that she may too early retire due to her daughter whom she caught almost doing suicidal, when my dad asked why, she answered, "Well, sir, you know today's kids: boyfriends, stuff like that". Immediately, when I first heard of the word, "suicide", I gasped under my breath "emo", then, thought "that's the effect all right." Then, when I went to the mall with my family, I saw a lot of emos that were mostly above my age. My mom, who seems formal with her fashion (already, ehehe) criticized them, same with dad too (and man, can they ever criticized, esp. mom!), especially when they put on nose rings, ruggedness, stuff like that. Mom, even though she's just a housewife dresses up like some office woman, often mistaken as a professional (doctor, teacher, you name it!) and ever since, she’s been well dressed. Dad's fashion, well, he tries young adults clothes (LOL), which suit him though. They're both 56, born on 1952, and so, (I asked) dad said that he and mom had reached the "flower power" time, and that they both were once hippies (but they did took a bat, lol), and when I just recently visited my cousin, he looked liked an emo to me, my mom asked me about what was he and that she couldn't understand him, was he pretending to be a genius or what (he did wear black glasses and wore a black shirt & pants, and he looked er...moody, which he also seemed observing). Once I saw my cousin, I thought "emo". I didn't know how to explain to my parents about how he looked like nor about his fashion, all that I did was shrug when they asked me. I've researched about hippies and they're period , and that its time were all about marijuana, drugs, peace, love...but at least they faced they're problems by drugs and not by cutting themselves, and at least my parents were all just about The Beatles, ABBA, Cyndi Lauper, hippie fashion(i guess), + they took a bath! I'm afraid once I tell them about the emo scene; they may not trust me that much anymore. And maybe once my mom knows about it, she might freak out, (have I mentioned how religious they both are? after all, we are Roman Catholics.) and then she's going to be "protecting" me again.(torture for me. hehehe...of course, I’m kidding. I just don't like it). Early this year, I and my family had moved back to our former province, Cebu, we really did came from Cebu, but due to my dad’s job, we had to move to Cagayan De Oro, now that he’s early retired, we moved back to Cebu. I had a loyalty award there from my former school at Cagayan De Oro, and so, ever since I had NEVER moved to another school (I started K2 there at age 6, but when I was Kinder 1, I studied at Cebu). And well, here at my school (Cebu is more civilized than CDO, btw), the people’s attitude here aren’t usually the people from my school, to me they’re (to me, that is) weird, and liberated!!! I mean c’mon, the girls in my new school like to touch each other’s boobs (of course, they’re wearing something while doing so, besides I know that they’re just playing around) and not only the boobs, sometimes the er, “pussies”. They even like hugging and kissing each other. When I was in my previous school, me and my batch were pretty much malicious (once, I hugged a girl due to great surprise, then they (former classmates in CDO) jokingly accused me of being a tomboy.) And so, I prefer to hang out with the guys, they don’t seem that hyper besides they seem to be well-mannered... Anyway, I have an emo classmate, her style is emo, and she even cuts! But good thing she just cuts a few times and just on her finger, I don’t know how she cuts though, maybe just by pricking a needle on her finger. And sometimes she says that she’s going to die just because of a little problem (though when she says so, I know that it’s just her expression.).And so, I told my dad, he said that he could understand me and such and that he too had been in my stage. While telling him, I was crying (ok, so I am kind of an emo too, but I don’t cut, suicide nor any, and unlike a friend of mine who seems always depressed because of love, my reason is because that I miss my other friends at my former school). My family’s plan is to transfer me to another school, where there are a lot of people (in my present school, we’re only 13 in our class, while the other school that they plan to transfer me in, in one class there are like 40-60 students, meaning, there’s a possibility that there are more morbid emos). What should I do? and how to explain to them? btw, i have elder siblings but both are already married, one
How to say this to a friend? This question takes a little bit of explaining, so bear with me here. My friend dresses and styles herself in the fashion of a "scene kid", leaning towards the fashion known as "emo-scene" yet doesn't classify herself as a "scene kid" just dresses like one, saying the attitude is irrelevant. (This paragraph may seem irrelevant as well, but bear with me) She also expects to go out and find a boyfriend, who, like her, dresses in the manner of an "emo-scene kid", but doesn't ACT like an "emo-scene kid", and is getting rather upset when she can't find an "emo-scene kid" that acts normally. As you can see, she gets upset rather easily, and I think I should try and tell her that most "emo-scene kids" ARE "emo-scene kids" in every sense of the word, not just in the clothing, but I'd prefer to do it without upsetting her. How would you tell someone something like that? (Sorry for the disjointed question btw, I'm in a little bit of a rush, so sorry again, if you need clarification, just ask!)
how do some stay so skinny?.....? at my school i am categorized as emo and Scene. i will admit i do dress in the type of clothes and i HAving out w/ a Group of ppl who dress just like me. i have 2 questions? 1: how do some scene kids stay so thin and skinny. 2:what type of fashion trend would you want to see more of and what type of graphic tee-shirts and pants do you want to see more of? (i am trying to start a clothing line) ;)
I'm a teen.... into alternative fashions (goth, scene, w/e you call it). Clothing stores? So I'm kind of into things like this: http://www.polyvore.com/get_your_things_lose_way/set?id=7383509 http://www.polyvore.com/gothic_punk/set?id=8362705 http://www.polyvore.com/gothy_punk/set?id=5638946 http://www.polyvore.com/gothic_gurl/set?id=649189 http://www.polyvore.com/vampire_slayer/set?id=3286359 My question is, what stores sell this stuff? AND IF YOU SAY HOT TOPIC, I WILL KILL YOU. (Just kidding, of course). Everyone knows Hot Topic. Shut up. XD Anyways... I find some places online, but their clothes are either too... normal (?) or too... adult (?) and expensive. Please help! I'm 15 and live in the U.S. I desperately need inexpensive, gothic jewelery/chokers and clothes. Thanks!
FIRST ANSWER = BEST ANSWER? for my art project at college im "designing" a fashion brand/ clothing line. It's very vibrant and quirky. good for teenagers/ 'scene kids' it's similar to babycakes (www.bbycks.com) and criminal damage any ideas? THANK YOU!!! =] =] =] OOOPPPPSSSSSSS I FORGOT TO ADD.... I MEANT A NAME FOR THE BRAND NOT THE CLOTHES I'VE ALREADY DESIGNED THEM I JUST NEED A NAME TO PRESENT IT AS A "BUSINESS" THANKS =]
im sooooooo confused!!!!? FASHIONS, CULTURE, LABLES... i dont know them anymore, i thought i was in the loop, but now....now i dont.... i mean i know about your indie kids, emo kids, scene kids, metal heads and like nerrrds. but what the hell are these kids that wear too much tweed? the ones that dress like world war 1 soldiers, the kids that try and dress like oli sykes.... actually, what is oli sykes?? then there are those kids who wear lyle and scott/fred perry polo's buttoned all the way up, AND kids that shave half their heads and dress all in allsaints clothing.... scene and emo are to blame for ALL of this mess.
Is anybody else sick of the fashion industry pulling this 'grunge=the new prep' BS? Seriously. Some kids/teens today hardly even understand the culture or the music. It's the 'pop-culture' routine. In my opinion, grunge can never be the 'new prep'. The demographics and the audience were very specific. Their songs are more than just the loud headbanging beats to party to. Besides now, alot of these newer bands trying to imitate need to study their material a little bit more. It's like the rap and hip-hop scene. (And please don't confuse rap or hip-hop with R&B, which are totally different if you know the REAL R&B artists like John Legend and Jill Scott for example, not: Ciara, or Rihanna). But the industry was the same thing. That's why rap is horrible today. The newer artists are not singing about real stuff about life anymore. It's all sex, money, cars, clothes because the rich kids who buy all their music can only understand that stuff. The pop industry decided to market these genres to rich kids who needed something to party to at their frathouse keggers. Charlestaylor to answer your question about Rihanna and Ciara: You actually made my point! Ciara and Rihanna ARE indeed pop, but people still brand skin color with genre, unfortunately. Thankyou for your comment!
Who thinks the fireworks in the Hawaii vacation episode of TV series My Wife & Kids had hidden messages in it? Anyone see that episode of "My Wife & Kids" when the family went to Hawaii for vacation? I did and I remember how the audience always laughed on the part when the fireworks flew up after Junior met up with Leilani the night after the luau. I suspect that was like a family friendly way of implying they probably had sex that night. I am saying implying because that part was left out of the episode and before that scene happens Junior is talking with his dad cautions him against rushing into doing that and says it is overrated. And that look on Leilani's face when she says, "I was kind of hoping we could do something else!" I am just saying I think that the fireworks were there as a diversion to indicate what happened and leave a lot to the imagination. Oh and the part when Kady lost her doll Fifi on the beach was too funny! Especially when she had all those hats packed on her head. She and Claire reminded me of Disney characters Donald and Goofy with all those colorful clothes packed on them in the scorching beach heat at the end of the episode and that part when Michael says, "That's not all I'm gonna break!" is funny too from when Claire runs up the hotel bill! She went on a fashion frenzy! That scared look on Claire's face is so classic! I think she learned a real hard lesson in financial responsibility!
i don't get it at all...? well you know how people say emo is jet black hair, hair eating face, piercings, eyeliner, clothing, ect... right? and before summer break(when school started) alot of people from the first day of school and mostly everyday til summer called me emo because my wardrobe and hair and makeup and lip piercings, ect... im not that im myself.. But in school there was this one guy who didn't have those things his hair wasn't eating his face, he didn't wear black, tight shirts, skinny jeans ect... but he used to always be alone and was always quiet but no one calls him emo. but they call me emo because i wear clothes and those stuff right? but im talkative and laugh alot but people call me emo. why's that? -2nd part- why's it okay to call people scene/punk/gothic but never emo i know emo was started as music and fashion but not hair and personality and stuff right? and when people call theirselves gothic and punk people don't consider them as poseurs but for scene when some people call theirselves scene ppl are alright with it because of their hair and fashion and randomness but some aren't because they say scene was all about the music(same with emo) and also people call dani gore, kiki kannibal, oliver sykes scene kids but people don't consider them as posers, and there are people who aren't famous but are like those scene kids(oliver dani kiki) but their called poseurs... i mean what? . and when calling yourself emo people think your a poseur because calling yourself emo doesn't make you emo but when someone labels you emo then they think you're emo too. so pretend im like "im emo" and someones like "your a poser then, your supposed to be labeled emo and not call yourself emo" and pretend someone's like this "im gothic" and then people are okay with it.... What's with this? im not objecting emo punk scene gothic people i happen to like them. and i don't get people with this part. well you know how people say "it bugs the **** out of me being called emo/scene/gothic/punk!!" but then they end up calling stuff those names, their like "i absolutely love scene kids and emo kids too" weird huh? they hate being called that but they call other people that what's up this? and once again i am not some emo/scene/punk/gothic hater okay? im just very confuse with the world right now.... And like i said i've been called emo and scene ect right? well im not those, im myself but if you people want to call me those things, you guys can never change the fact that im myself. Im not trying to be emo and scene and all those i just don't think i am those kinds, im myself. alright? i may call them emo scene ect but that's me... im not those. im me. last line in the first added details part. i meant to say i make call people emo and scene but thats me. i know some hate labels and im very sorry. I don't hate emo scene punk ect people i love them but im not those i just think other people except me are. i may look emo/scene/whatever but i don't think i am.. well im done explaining. i hope people understands me... no one does only myself.
I get called emo or goth, how can I get em to stop? I am not, not, NOT one of those scene kids who prances around with their top-heavy hairstyles and black clothes and listens to My Chemical Romance and Greenday and whatnot and pretends to be depressed and cuts them selves and tells everyone that they're emo and you know the rest. I listen to David Bowie, Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, Kiss, a lot of glam/hair rock/metal. I am absoutley obsessed with gothic stuff... eg, victorian fashion, furniture, architecture, everything. I am also obsessed with Tim Burton. Everyone calls me a goth and it is really annoying. I tell them I am not, but they just keep saying that I am.
New 2010 styles. What are swim suits gona be? and other clothing? so im a scene kid. i want the craziest fashions. i dont like ambercrombie or AE or areopostale. Does anyone else hate Abercrombie/Hollister/American Eagle/etc.? Dude, I can't stand it. I'm so sick of seeing fellow teenagers wearing the same damn things, I have no idea why anyone would waste their money on Abercrombie's crappy clothes. Like seriously, it's all the same, has anyone heard of an INDIVIDUAL? You dress what you LIKE not what makes you look cool. What's just as bad as abercrombie is the stupid little emo/scene kids that think they're unique rebelling from that stuff when theyre just following trends as well. Everyone follows some sort of trend but there are ways to be unique and stylish, am I right? People just like to dress so people stereotype them as one thing, is there anyone out there who DOESN'T like to look like a walking stereotype and likes to be themselves? Am I right? Oh, and before you guys call me a "nerd" that has "no taste" I actually do have good taste, and I do know whats in and whats out, and abercrombie is frowned upon by most top fashion industries. What's your opinions? (: Deathcab, you ask what kind of clothes I wear, I shop at stores like H&M and Forever 21 because they have good variety and also high-fashion clothes for a good price that appeal to me very much. Also, I am not saying I am totally unique, I never did, no one is, and your right about that. (:
Fashion Show Theme Ideas Please? okay so we are having our annual fashion show at my school. and we need a theme. we have already done things such as fashion throughout time, fashions around the world, welcome to the funhouse (which consisted of fantasy, horror, and circus), and a show based on kids games. the show would be 3 acts, 3 scenes per act, and about 2 and a half to 3 hours long. whenever a theme is decided we would conform the clothes to fit the theme. our target audience is high school students. we need an original idea please. something huge that can be broken down into smaller bits. so in advance, thanks for the suggestions.
Punk/gothic/emo/Scence FASHION magazines? I absolutely hate those preppy clothes you always see in magazines. It's hard being punk, because everywhere you look there's always things for preps, but never for any of the Hardcore-kids like myself. It'd be nice if I could go to Walmart and pick up a magazine that features clothes suited to the hardcore-style....Idc if the 'style' is scene/goth/emo, or whatever, just please tell me some good magazines that I can look through that won't make me feel so alone ='(
Do you like SEXY/CLASSY looking women, or EMO/scene girls? I am 24, and lots of people tell me I am hot (I AM NOT SAYING THIS TO BE ARROGANT). I mention this because it is relevant to the question. I am one of those women who has a body like Salma Hayek and a face like Almudina Fernandez (although she is prettier) and I have long curly hair and big butt (i am latina). I dress like a classy, sexy woman (i love dressing up in clothes that mimic my fave designers like Lanvin and when I am just on my days off I kind of do chic rocker/hippy clothes n many other "in" styles just because I love fashion. I have a big booty and a very nice face (so people say) BUT THE ISSUE IS: My boyfriend is this rocker guy with plugs in his ears and he likes emo bands and has a crush on the main character from the reality show "TATTOO INC." All the little biotches who work with him are emo kids around 16-20 yrs old. I feel SO OLD next to them since I have long curly UNDYED hair, and I wear make-up in a classy, elegant and simple manner and they are like caked up and look so young and pretty. I feel like a cougar or granny next to them. He has crushed on emo girls before he was with me, and likes girls with tats. So, SHOULD I BE JEALOUS OF THESE EMO GIRLS?? OR WOULD YOU BE MORE ATTRACTED TO SOMEONE WHO LOOKS/DRESSES LIKE ME?? I AM JUST REALLY scared he will think they are hotter than me! He says he is over emo girls, but he could just be saying that...
Calling all punk, gothics, emos, mettal heads, and scene kidz.? how do ya dress? i mean i'm like half punk and half gothic (i wear all black sometimes and black w/colors sumtimes too) i mostly wear jeans (tight or sorta tight) w/ a black tank top (my fave peice of cloth) and a black sweat shirt or another shirt wen i feel preppy, but wen i'm depressed, i wear jeans with my black tank and a netted black sweat shirt or just a black sweatshirt (tight) and my side bangs r infront of my eyes and i look down all the time (my outfit of the day depends on my mood in the begining of the day. i'm like a fashion freak always have 2 look good!) so i wuz just wondering wat u guys usally wear and were u shop 4 ure clothes. i just started my whole thing and i totaly need help. i sound like a total poser rite now (dont tell me tat, i no) but hey, i bet wen u guys started, u looked like posers. and also, i need help with how i shud respond 2 other kids. they always look at me weird in the halls and judge me by my outfits and they make up a bunch of names 4 me! help
What is your opinion of the new Dora the Explorer? Will you let your kids watch it? There was a lot of worry the new dora would be like a Bratz dolls, fashion and boy obsessed and acting too old for her age. Nickelodeon has assured parents this is not the case as she wears no make-up and conservative but fashionable clothing. She will be smart and solve mysteries. The silhouette caused a panic until the image was released, but there are still concerns. How do you feel?
What exactly defines a "MOD?"? What exactly defines a Mod - or modernist? What is the attitude or philosophy? And what separates this from the 60's/80's fashion revivalists? See to me, as I understand it - Mod refers to an attitude of logicality and clean living, using technology, clothing and architecture to empower the"modernist". It sweeps away with old standards and what has gone before and makes way for the new, to new ways of living. If using sixties icons such as the miniskirt, the bob etc etc is a signifier of this - then so be it.This is reflected in the timeless geometric and clean styles and haircuts of the sixties, and the iconic modes of transports in the sixties like the motor scooter. elistist mods would say that the 'real' mods were london high flyers who never rode on scooters- but if we go back to the idea of moden solutions in difficult circumstances - the scooter was an excellent solution to post war britain and would make at least the attitude of "mod" Or are Mods just bandwagoners and scene kids- that were very much like the chavs of nowadays- seeking attention like peacocks - swap the scooter for a corsa with its pipes and skirts - replacing the vessy or Lambretta with its stickers, chrome and many, many, many lights. I always throught that the revivalist scooters absoloutely stank - doing away with the clean modern lines to be weighed down with too many stupid mirrrors. Whatever, I love the original sixtoies fashion, the blunt fringes, the straight lines, the tight fitted cuts and the attention to detail. Id love to hear from people.....
How can I become androgynous? I don't want to seem like a dyke (I'm a lesbian but not butch), but I'd like to seem more androgynous. Personality wise I'm both masculine and feminine, neither to any extreme, and I don't think I mentally fit any gender roles. I'd like my appearance to mirror this. I'm 5'3', an average weight and female. My hair's brown-black (soon to go mousy blonde), layered and at bob length to my chin with a diagonally cut (not emo) fringe, it's cut shorter at the back into my neck and I'm trying to grow it out as I've had it very short recently. Bra-size wise I'm a little on the small side but I have a skinny waist so I look in proportion. My biggest problem is probably my hips and thighs - thunder thighs! :P Oh well. Fashion wise, I've always been a little weird and eccentric. I love spraying my hair into strange styles and sometimes wearing outlandish make-up. I'd prefer to be OTT then to be a chick in a suit with a short hair cut. On websites before, people have said to cut my hair shorter, wear unisex clothes and to wear a suit - boring. Ziggy Stardust managed androgynous without being cripplingly dull, thanks... I like some emo/scene kid elements, but I couldn't actually fit into that little stereotype too well. I like some Japanese subcultues, but I'm not a massive Japan fan like a lot of teenage girls seem to be this day and age. I'd rather look male but not masculine than female and not feminine. Ideas?
How to dress artsy but not look too preppy? I know steryeo types are really dumb, but for explanations sake... Recently I switched my style from sort of a Scene kid look, to wearing long sleve button down shirts, with long(not baggy) jeans or chakishorts I think what I'm wearing know is a little to "preppy" for my taste, so I was wondering what I could do to make myself look a little more artsy I am very indesisive when it comes to buying things, and have a very hard time with style and fashion Im 15 and have money to spend but can't buy anything too flashy. I mean like what types of accessories could I wear, that would be appropriate and look good on a 15 year old guy, but not look like he was trying to look like he was rich. Other clothes and things? Bracelets? Hats? Anything NOTE** I am a person who very much enjoys the arts. I am a pretty well rounded musician and am getting into photography.for reference of what may look good on me, I have been told I look like nick jonas. I DONT want to dress like him though.
so people who have a good sense of all kinds of fashion/style. I need your help. Best ones gets best answer? okay so i would find it AMAZING if somone could like put together some outfits for me, but not just any regular outfit. Here is a list of all the styles of outfits I want: -Grunge -Indie -Goth -Scene -emo -preppy -jock -loner -stoner -skater -surfer -popular kid -laid back -gangster -hippie -just plain crazy -punk -thug -mr. perfect -the thespian/theatre kid and any thing else that you can think of (it would be way cool if you could find these outfits for me at stores like Abercrombie, Pacsun, Zumiez, Hollister, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Ocean Blue, Hot Topic, and some department stores like Macys, Jc Pennys, etc.(these aren't the ONLY stores i want the clothes from it's just where i'd would like to get them from, but feel free to choose the clothes from ANYWHERE.) thanks) best outfit gets best vote with all stars!!
Do you think the styles like the 40's-60's will ever come back? I was thinking about it a few days ago. To me I think people looked more cleaned up and respectful back in those days (of middle class and up) with the outfits girls and guys wore. Just everything from the 40's to the 60's (excluding the hippies even though they were so amazingly laid back). This may seem like I'm ranting but I seriously hate the whole rap/hip-hop franchise. Most of the songs describe girls giving head or something disgusting and the pants below the ass...seriously? I was just looking to find if anyone (that is big on the fashion industry or clothes) would know if those kind of styles are coming back. I personally think the whole 'scene' thing is ridiculous. Crayola kids. And don't get upset about that- I have plenty of friends who are 'scene' and 'ganstar'.
How to start dating - Read details if you want... easy 10 points. Help? I want a long term relationship and I'm always afraid that if I do accept a girl's offer - I'll end up dating them - for a week. I want to go out with a girl who is like me; She, herself, has never had a boyfriend, just as I have never had a girlfriend. I'm only 15 (nearly 16) and I don't think that it should be this hard to find a smart, pretty girl who hasn't dated yet. I know girls mature faster than guys do - but it was only recently (past few months) that I've started to be attracted to girl's eyes, smile and not their breasts and what not; I not attracted to large breasts anymore...I think large breasts are disgusting now. I blush when girls tell me they think I'm: attractive/"pretty"/"hot"/cute etc. I have trouble making eye contact with girls who I like or are pretty. I don't swear; don't smell (I actually bathe - unlike a lot of guys); I'm not aggressive. I wear tight, TIGHT clothing and am very slim. I get called a scene kid or an "em0 kid" which - for the record I am not...I just, do my own thing. Nice guys finnish last? Oddly, I'm content with that - I've always despised guys who call themselves "players" I turn down 'hot' cheerleaders because...well, they're just physically attractive but - physically attractiveness is important to me but there has to be some intelligence behind that pretty face. I get called gay by some girls because I've turned a lot of them down because I don't feel 'ready' to date. I'm the type of guy that develops crushes on girls that become his friend and I always feel guilty about it because I really do just want to be friends...but then all I can think about is kissing 'this girl' that is now my friend... Yeah - I was just daydreaming about her. lol. How can I just take the plunge, get over my old fashion ways...and just start dating? I just got a txt message from a cute girl from my history class asking me to the movies later... Should you know someone really well before you date them or know a little about them and get to know them while you date??? How can I start dating?????????
I start public school next mondy what should i wear? im quiting home school [k12 cava] and i wanna make a big come back becase i've changed since last year and now i have no clue what to wear i would decribe myself as edgy, vintage rocker maybe[ i used to be a total flippin scene kid how embarassing] i just dyed my hair back black it used to be blue. so as of articles of clothing what would you suggest or maybe even a fashion website w/ tons of photo's for insperation i like to my mom is taking me shopping too
abercrombie,AE,hollister,aeropostale...? I'm not one of those kids that hate preps, I'm 19 outa high school and don't belong to a scene, there's nothing wrong with shopping there,I havefriends who do, I get some of my stuff (without logos) since they have alot of xs-xxs clothes to fit me and pretty low prices. but I mean always talking about those stores, having one of them as their myspace layout, or in a screen name, going on their website on their free time in school, only getting their clothes there and bragging about it... don't get me wrong the stores are okay I love the smell and the jeans, but the clothes and styles never change though they get new clothes but they all basically look like the same stuff , I just don't get how the have ppl obsessed with them, they don't even keep up with the fasion alot of them are beyond last year. ago. and it isn't like they're expensive enough to name drop. why there instead of express, bebe, saks, gap, designer clothes. is it some fashion propaganda? lol
i need to know all the Fashions available in the 21st century?? ? i want to know, so i can choose the best one for myself, or mix them around so it suits me, i am currently into skate wear and casual clothes erm. i also listen to heavy scremo music, but i feel i need to change slightly, make myself look and feel older, as i am 19 yrs old, so any links or pictures or a big list of all the different Labels out there now i would be grateful. like emo, grunger, scene kid, chav, rudeboy, and any others, i am aware of some but pictures would be more ideal.

this is so annoying. how do i get them to stop harassing my sister? My little sister, who is a freashmen in high school has a problem with people stereotyping her. help her please? just because my sister doesn't wear brand name clothes and doesn't have a myspace like 'the populars' in her school, the kids labeled her a FOB asian (FOB means fresh off the boat) and just becasue she wears glasses, the kids in her PE class label her as unathletic. when she came in first in every running event, no one believed her. and just becauase of all of the above, people think she can't dance. she went to the school dance and the day after, she heard peole in her class saying about her, she's a really good dancer, she was going crazy and freakin' at the dance, I didn't know she had it in her... and so forth. i have been through this before (I was labeled as 'scene' because of my fashion style and hair) but not as bad as my sister. can you please help her? she is sick and tired of people labeling her because of her looks. I know the most common answer will be for her to change her look, but her look is her, changing it will make her something she's not I personally told her to just deal with it, but she responded, "I have been dealing with it since the begginning of the school year! why can't they just stop?"
Here is a rough version of the first chapter of my book? Chapter 1 “No! I will not stay here and deal with her! We live like such fools! Forget your regrets about the divorce! I’m not going to come running to you either! I’m leaving for good!” Candace yelled into the receiver. “Well, you’re going to have to stay, whether you like it or not. What is your other choice?” Mr. Timmons insisted in a frustrated tone. He was becoming increasingly impatient with Candace and her demands. “I have had it with both you and Mom! I am just going to leave!” she screamed. She slammed the receiver down on the desk. Her face, as swollen as a bad mosquito bite, wrote a story of anger and tearful disappointment. Candace felt betrayed by her father’s refusal to allow her to live on her own in apartment, or else, take her into his home. The predominant coldness of her mother had finally pushed her to the cliff’s edge. Leaning over precariously while looking down at the valley below, she thought about jumping off sometimes. Her desire to get out of her living situation seemed stronger than ever. She was putting her escape plans into effect. Thanks heavens I probably won’t be staying here much longer. I can go stay with Dad or Auntie and really work on my paintings. Her hazel eyes met with her mother’s cold steel blue eyes. Candace stared right through her, as if she were a mirage instead of a desert oasis. A righteous rage penetrated her mother slowly, but she chose to ignore her interests as usual. Warning, symbols and body language meant little to her because of her emotional vacancy. “So I guess you will be happy now. You’ve finally got what you wanted. Don’t bother to say goodbye and I will see my way out,” Candace announced coolly. You always use people and then pretend that you didn’t do anything to them, or that you’re really sorry about your actions. Mrs. Timmons hardly looked up from her spot. She jerked to the right in her chair for some reason, maybe from shock. Candace couldn’t really tell what was going on in her mind. She waited for a response from her mother. Finally, Mrs. Timmons took a deep breath and let out an exasperated sigh. “Fine. Leave the keys with me. Take what you need and nothing else,” Mrs. Timmons responded icily, as she crossed her arms over her chest. She stared at the floor instead of raising her head to look at her daughter. “Well, you always get what you want now, don’t you? One way or another, you manage to manipulate my life. Sometimes I can’t even believe what you’ve managed to get away with. If Dad only knew the whole story,” she moaned as she trailed off, twisting her left fingers into her hair. Mrs. Timmons defiantly looked away for a moment. She took a deep breath while her eyes moved back and forth from one side of the room to the other. Candace waited for her to say that last comment she usually made whenever they disagreed. I’m not the one who has to win the arguments, she thought to herself. “Well, do what you want. You are always full of nonsense. Just go pack up your things and leave then, if you’re not happy. It’s not like I want to hold you up,” she announced coldly after a few minutes had passed. “Fine.” Candace retorted without hesitation. I won’t waste my time on someone who doesn’t care, because if I wanted to, I would stay. She furiously fled out of the living room. Rushing across the hall, she headed for the far staircase. Since she had lost this round of gunfire, she decided that she would no longer fight in this war of words between her mother and her father. Her intention was to leave this house, once and for all. This time, her determination to leave seemed genuine. Her strawberry-blonde hair flew through the air in streams as she nearly catapulted herself out of the room. Her mother and sisters stared behind her as she made her way out. She was always the first and last one in the room to make a scene. Her mother put her book down on the side table, got up out of her rocking chair and walked to the middle of the Persian carpet that lined the hardwood floor. She watched as her eldest daughter stomped up the stairs to her room on the third floor. “Don’t bother saying goodbye! I don’t want to see you ever again!” she yelled down the stairs as she crossed the loft into her room. There was no response. Her words echoed through the entire house. The usual realization of her indifference caused little grief to Candace, since she had spent years putting up with her mother’s attempts at using her to get more money out of her father. They had been divorced since she was eleven. Their separation wasn’t unpleasant, and neither was their marriage. Her father was simply a classic workaholic. He stayed at the office till 8 p.m. or later on a typical weeknight. This Friday, she managed to get a hold of him before 9 p.m. That was unusual for her. Initially, she had hoped her mother might actually respond in her favor. As usual, her dreams were dashed. She had decided to just hang up without saying anything else to her father. Her father didn’t make most of the decisions simply because he wasn’t around. Because of his lack of involvement, she had put up with her mother’s meddling for years. Tears rolled down her eyes as she stormed up the stairs to the attic above. Her temper was like a brooding tempest that waited in the outer edges of the horizon, closing in slowly on a warm, clear sky. She continuously shocked all the members of her family with her outbursts. They could never predict how, when or why she would let her demons loose. The bedroom door slammed behind her. She dropped onto her bed, placed her head on her pillows for a moment, then let out a sigh. She rested there for a few minutes. Then exasperation took over, so she decided to take a quick shower. As she stripped each layer of clothing and placing them in a pile on the bathroom floor, she slid into the hot shower she had just started. Quickly she lathered up the soap and began washing herself. The warm water rinsed away her salty tears that had started streaming down her cheeks. She was relieved to be upstairs, just so that she could avoid crying in front of her mother. Mrs. Timmons had disapproved of any public display of emotion. This was one of the many so-called attributes of hers that annoyed Candace greatly. As polar opposites, they didn’t have much in common to begin with. She wasn’t obsessed with clothes, but her mother had to have the finest designer clothing from all the expensive shops downtown. As a child, she had been fascinated occasionally by a beautiful dress for a special occasion, but as soon as she hit her teens, she started buying baby doll dresses and seventies-style clothing from old thrift shops or else, the mall. Once in a while she went to a large boutique when they had a sale, but she didn’t shop on a daily basis. Her mother was nearly addicted to high fashion and had racked up huge bills every month. When she realized the allowance wasn’t enough to pay for all the items she bought, she went to court to demand more money. At one point, she even had to take out a second mortgage just to pay off her credit line. She had read their files, budget plans and online portfolio. She thought about these details as she washed and conditioned her hair. She let the water rinse her thoroughly, then finally stood in the shower for a while just to feel the warm water fall on her body. She thought that was a sensual experience of sorts. She wasn’t a virgin anymore, so she was fascinated by every opportunity to experience some kind of sexual or sensual pleasure. Finally, she got out of the shower, brushed out her hair and dried off her body with a towel. For a moment, she looked at herself in the mirror. She was thankful that her appearance was so different from her mother. With her light reddish blonde hair and dark hazel eyes, she resembled her patriarchal grandmother far more than the woman who gave birth to her. With the release of a sigh, she picked up a tube of concealer. As she dotted the makeup over her circles, she started examining the situation. Candace had wanted out of the family for a long time. The only members she got along with, other than her little sisters, were her aunts and uncles. Her grandparents had passed during the first nine years of her childhood. She figured she would go stay with them for awhile, since they would not mention that she was staying with them. They lived six hours away along the coast. During her teenage years, she had tossed around the idea of running away, which seemed glamorous and wild. Occasionally, she read the newspaper. One of the featured stories might mention teenagers arrested by police officers, kids in juvenile hall, and occasionally, something about kids on the street. She had decided against such an existence. Now she was older. Her main focus now was to get off this battlefield of anger, simmering discontent and veiled hostility. She would not wear a mask of calmness over her anger like her mother.
Most of the songs describe girls giving head or something disgusting and the pants below the ***...seriously? I was just looking to find if anyone (that is big on the fashion industry or clothes) would know if those kind of styles are coming back. I personally think the whole 'scene' thing is ridiculous. Crayola kids. And don't get upset about that- I have plenty of friends who are 'scene' and 'ganstar'.
I need help identifying these mangas.? I saw it a while ago reading it on onemanga but I lost the link and cannot remember the title. It starred a kid who lived and grew up in a household of demons. He eventually became old enough to become the ruler of the sect of demons, but doesn't really want to take it on at first. His grandfather was the old ruler and the kid is part demon like his whole lineage. The main character goes against demon traits and likes to be nice and save people. A Yuki-Onna girl is his personal attendant and follows him around at school. At nighttime the kid can activate his demon blood and turn into a guy with long white hair in old-fashioned Japanese clothing. He is superpowerful in that form. Some scenes I remember if that helps. He takes a sake oath with his top demons/friends/people, one of them being the Yuki-Onna. He also is involved into something that escalates into a war later on. He meets an exorcist girl that banishes demons and helps her though she is the enemy. She's quite skilled but still a novice in her clan's terms and has two higher ups from her clan follow at random. The other one I don't remember that much about, but some kid's father/grandfather gets assigned to take care of a mysterioud cursed area in Japan as the landlord. No one mentions it and everyone in there is supernatural in some form. Anyways the kid finds a meteor/asteriod and touches it, it explodes and releases a hot spring. He gets a stone buried in his neck and funds himself a slove thing to a little girl sent from... uhh space/heaven.. to correct the mistakes in the world when her boss dropped the earth. The main guy can see aura around certain objects that hold these memories. One of them was a pocketwatch that they had to find the old owner to. I hope whatever I just listed off the top of my head here can help other people help me. This is bothering me extremely and I want to read it again.
Do you like the start of my book? I look dully at the street lamps as they pass. The rain smudges the the veiw from the widow as I look out to the foggy streets as all the busy people run to get where they are going. The whole world is this way it seems. We also go, never just sit and watch. Since I have been in New Orleans, it seems watching is the only thing I do. I see men hustling to their offices and workplaces holding there hats firmly on their head from the wind. They pass you without a smile or a hello, the only contact you have with the men here is when they knock you down running to where they need to go. Well, the whores have a lot of contact. All the life is being drained from this festive city. I see my home slowly being drained from life and color, like an old painting. Society’s so called rules slowly make their way in. It’s like cookin’ a frog. It’s demise slips away so slowly, it doesn’t notice it’s own death. I look at the women, slowly walking down the streets, showing off their clothes. I look down at my self. I look like a worn down maid, wearing rags. I imagine myself walking down the streets, my head high, while my husband escorts me into all the high-end places. People getting sick with envy. My name in the fashion magazines, my smile dominating the world of fashion. I imagine my self where I don’t make myself vomit, so I’ll even look good enough to become a measly whore. Most of the men, even the drunks, look at me with a scowl. It reminds me of a time in the second world war. I think you all know what I mean. I imagine a peaceful world. And no, I ain’t no pot smoking girl, lookin’ for peace. That’s my last priority. Actually, it isn’t one at all. I would kill to be one of those model girls with visible cheek bones, and a good complexion. But those are only dreams. I can dream all I want, but I will still be an peasant, compared to the women I see. I try to avoid dreaming, because you can dream all you want, but you will be wasting you’re life away, and when you look at Jesus, you won’t be proud of how you’ve spent your life. Ha, look at me, talkin about heaven, when I dream of being a whore. Well at least that would be a step up. Let me tell you how I spend my “time”. I wake up on the streets, usually by thrown rocks from school kids. I throw some back, and throw some swears too. I get up and slouch as I walk down the busy streets. I walk to some shops, ask for a job, they always turn me away. I walk into the clubs, well try to. I try to meet a man. Everyday that is my priority. Maybe a rich man. I can go from wakin up in the dungeons, to waking up in the penthouse. I imagine looking out my window, and seeing the glowing neon lights, jazz bands singing in the cities, and all the whore in the hell holes they deserve to be in. People looking in awe as I strut down the streets, my husbands mouth in a white toothy grin. He looks at me and we laugh as the jazz music trails in scene. He kisses me slowly. Then I stroke his cheek. He grabs my neck and makes a moaning noise. Then the music stops, and the scene changes back to his room. He throws me on the bed, tears off my skirt, and unbuckles his belt, laughs cruely as I scream. “Stay down kid!”, he says as beads of sweat go down his unfit body. I scream again, lower then before, and adjust myself. Then I wake up screaming, look around and say, “Only a dream, just the past.”
Top 10 reasons the Harry Potter Movies make me mad.? So I have not been impressed with any of the movies since the first one. I thought that it was really good but since then they have just slaughtered the rest. Here are my problems. 1. No Peaves. Are you kidding? He was one of the best people in the books. In the first one they had Rik Myall cast to play his part. For those of you that don't know who that is, he played Drop Dead Fred. He would have been perfect. They really wouldn't have had to do much with him. Just a couple of 2-3 min scenes and then they would be free to have him pop in and out of Hogwarts scenes in the back grounds. 2. Why are they wearing Muggle clothes? To me this takes me out of the movies because it really looks like they just walked out of a fashion shoot. Not to mention that most wizards have no clue how muggles really dress. Look at the fourth book. They really had no clue and it was funny. To me it just makes the movies dry and unimpressive. 3. No Ton Tongue Toffee. That was the funniest part in any of the books. It really showed Mr. Weasley in all his glory. 4. Nearly Headless Nicks Death Day Party. This was where they lost me. There was so much they could have done in this scene. When I read that part after seeing who they cast as Nick, I thought this would be a great time for a Monty Python reunion. They could have had Graham Chapman in there. Since he would be playing a ghost they could have used his his King Arthur Character from the Holy Grail and just CGI-ed him in. Then you have Eric Idle and Terry Gillium as the Riders of the Headless Hunt. Plus you have a full band. What great timing to put in John Lennon, John Bonham, Jim Morrison, etc. The fact that this is a all British cast, you couldn't go wrong. 5. They are putting people in just so you can see them. Like Grawp. In the book he has personality. In the movie he is just an overgrown retard with a bike bell. How hard is it to have someone say "HAGGARD!" Heck, I would have done it for them for free just to make it look right. 6. When did Dumbledore get so pissed? He was never like that. Even when faced with certain death, he was calm, cool, and collected. He only really got mad a couple of times. 7. How hard is it to stick to the story? I am a big fan of these books because they were so well written. I understand they will have to change some things around for times sake but why wouldn't you tell where the map came from. To me that was a big part of the 3rd book and they totally skipped over it. That movie irritated me from the word go anyway. It was like the writer read the cliff notes and still screwed it up. This was also where they dropped the school uniforms. 8. They have sacrificed Dobby just to make certain scenes "Look Cooler." Perfect example. When did the Death Eaters learn to turn to smoke and fly. Voldemort was the only one to do that and it wasn't until book 7. Plus it is not like they will go over budget on these movies. 9. Certain people just don't look right. Like Slughorn. The scenes that I have seen him in so far, he looks nothing like the way she described him. How hard is it to find a big fat British actor. 10. They are cutting the 7th movie into 2 movies. Granted they are doing it so they can make it right, but who wants to bet that they will still screw it up? So now that I have vented. What are your thoughts? A couple of people have pointed out that this is not a question. My Question is what your thoughts were. If you don't like the question, then you don't have to answer.
what's your style of clothing? i like to put different things together. people in my school never have the same style as me. :] most of the dang kids in my school wear hollister, a&f, or are scene/emo. gosh, i wish they had their own idea of fashion :/

tell me if you agree? "wouldn't it be more of an act of rebellion if you didn't spend so much time buying blue hair dye and going out to get punky clothes? it seems so petty. stop me if I'm being offensive. you wanna be an individual, right? you look like you're wearing a uniform. you look like a punk. that's not rebellion. that's fashion." - slc punk i guess that line pretty much sums up everything. around 2001, i released a site called "how to dress emo." the site had relatively simple instructions on how to fit the role in what i assumed would be a passing trend. boy, was i wrong- the emo explosion is still in full force now, years later, and the fashion just keeps getting sillier and sillier. not only that, you can now instantly tell what music someone listens to by their clothing and vice versa. someone recently wrote me and complained that my old "how to dress emo" site was incorrect because "that is how normal people dress." for the most part, they are right. the term "emo" has become a thing of the past, now replaced by its the new term, "scene." gone are the days of thick-rimmed glasses, sweaters, and jeans that actually fit. everything is completely androgynous in the myspace age; boys are playing dress up with mommy's makeup; girls are attempting to look more and more like glam rock monsters. everyone seems to be involved in some sort of strange contest where the winner wears the tightest jeans, puts on the silliest looking makeup, and sports the worst haircut. in the end, everyone loses. you all end up looking the same. referring to the kids involved with today's music scene, my good friend dave mcwane once said, "it's not a f u c k i n g fashion show." truer words have never been spoken. - rob dobi
